This week I tried the Balea Oil Removing Mud Face Mask with Tea Tree Oil. Keep reading to see how this mask worked for me.
Hypoallergenic. Dermatologist tested. Natural
clay and bentonite makes this mask a perfect oil removing product. This
mask is infused with tea tree oil and aloe vera to smooth and soothe
your skin.
This mask was light, off-white in colour and had a clay/mud thick consistency. Once dry, this mask is mint green. This mask smells strongly of tea tree, and the scent lingers on your face throughout the day.
I used a brush to apply and it went on smoothly. There is enough
product in one of these packages for 2+ masks, so after applying I put
the package into a zip lock bag and stored it in the fridge so it wouldn’t dry out.
When I first applied this mask it stung my face a bit. The stinging didn’t last long though, and it was comfortable to wear for the remainder of the time. The packaging stated to leave it on for 10-15 minutes until dry and then remove. I ended up leaving it on for 10 minutes and it was completely dry. It made my skin feel really stiff, and I couldn’t make any facial expressions.
Removal was difficult using lukewarm water and a washcloth. I had to scrub it quite hard to get it all off, which left my skin looking red for a bit afterword. My skin felt very clean and smooth after removal. After 1 use my breakouts seemed to be dried out and less puffy. I toned and moisturized as normal, and my skin looked great. My skin was less greasy throughout the entire day.
