I am always on the lookout for a great mascara at a great price. My lashes are naturally full and long, but I love layering on the mascara to get that VA VA Voom look. I recently tested out the Wet n Wild Mega Plump Mascara in hopes of very black, voluminized
lashes. With only a price tag of $3.99, if this mascara ended up being
amazing I’d be laughing all the way to the bank with my savings.
This mascara claims to give fuller and thicker lashes for up to 3x the volume. Let’s see how it worked out.
The
wand on this mascara is a basic spoolie, really nothing fancy. Right
away I wasn’t expecting much volume and drama from such a Plain Jane wand. And I was right. This mascara does not thicken or lengthen. It coats my lashes and makes them look blacker, but that is all. I am left with extremely natural looking lashes. It is really more of a tint than a mascara, as it does nothing a mascara should, it only deposits colour.
The plus side of this mascara is that although it has a thicker formula it doesn’t clump, so I’m not left with spider lashes. Although it
doesn’t do much volume wise it is long lasting. I had no issues with
raccoon eyes while wearing this, and it washed off easily with makeup
remover and a cotton round.

Overall,
if you are looking for a voluminizing and thickening mascara that’s
going to bring drama to your lashes, then this isn’t the mascara for you.
However, if you want a more natural look or just want your lashes to
look darker, then this would be a good, cheap lash tint.

Wow yes definitely not mega plumped lashes! But you have the eyes for it! And it looks extremely natural.
ReplyDeleteYou have such beautiful lashes naturally! Too bad this one didn't live up to it's claims, but maybe it would be good for a very natural makeup look.
ReplyDeleteYour natural lashes are so beautiful! I haven't had much luck with Wet n Wild mascaras either.
