Smell Sweet with I love…

I love is an exciting bath and beauty line that prides itself in providing high quality, affordable and delicious products. These products boast paraben-free, skin-friendly formulations with natural additives, and come in a variety of yummy fragrances.

I love is a brand I've looked at many times while perusing the shelves of Shoppers Drug Mart. Right away their packaging and scent combinations reminded me of Philosophy bath products, and I can't help but smell the entire line whenever I see it.

Today I will be reviewing two products that will help keep you skin clean, hydrated, and smelling amazing 365 days a year. As an added perk, one of these scents is almost an exact dupe for Lush’s Snow Fairy, which is my favourite scent ever!
I love…Strawberries & Cream Bubble bath & Shower Crème
Feel scrumptious with a burst of fresh strawberries and smooth yummy cream. This bubble bath and shower crème includes a unique skin softening vitamin complex to help moisturize and keep skin soft and supple.

Oh wow I love this shower gel! I haven’t been able to use anything else since first trying this. This light pink gel lathers to a super soft foam that smells just heavenly. The scent isn’t too sickly sweet, and it lingers, so I'm left smelling great all day.

The first time I smelled this product it reminded me of the flavour/scent of those pink fluoride treatments at the dentist. You know when they put that foam applicator in your mouth and you look like a duck. I've always liked the taste of the fluoride treatment, so not surprised I love the scent of this shower gel. It is kind of weird that I end up thinking about going to the dentist every time I use it though…
I love…Raspberry & Blackberry Nourishing Body Butter
Feel invigorated with a burst of yummy raspberry & delicious blackberry. Coconut oil and Shea Butter leave your skin feeling gorgeously nourished and silky soft, while the gorgeous perfume leaves your skin beautifully fragranced.

This product has arrived just in time for Fall/Winter. My skin gets so incredibly dry in the Winter that I require a moisturizer this thick and luxurious on a daily basis. A little of this product goes a long way, and it absorbs quickly into the skin leaving no residue or greasiness. Plus, the scent lingers for hours, so I catch hints of it during the day and it makes me smile.

Speaking of scent, this product smells exactly like Lush’s Snow Fairy fragrance to me! Seeing as Snow Fairy is only available at Christmas and cost like $20 for 500mL, I am so glad that I found this product. Now I can smell this glorious scent all year round, at a fraction of the price. I will be buying this whole line.

I love scent lines include bath gels, lotions, exfoliating scrubs, and fruity spritzers. To get your own sweet bath products, visit a Shoppers Drug Mart near you! Now excuse me while I go clear out my SDM!

Review: Mary Kay Limited-Edition Honeydew Satin Hands Pampering Set

Review: Mary Kay Limited-Edition Honeydew Satin Hands Pampering Set
This all-time customer favourite just got a little sweeter with the new Honeydew Satin Hands Pampering Set! What's not to love? Rough, dry hands are instantly cleansed, softened and moisturized in three easy steps with a Honeydew version of Mary Kay's best selling Satin Hands Pampering Set.

The Mary Kay Satin Hands Set retails for $51 and comes with a 60g Fragrance Free Hand Softener, 220g Honeydew Satin Smoothie Hand Scrub, and a 85g Honeydew Hand Cream. Meant to be used as a system you start by rubbing a small amount of Hand Softener into your palms. Next you cleanse and exfoliate with the Hand Scrub and warm water. After drying your hands you apply the Hand Cream for instant hydration.
Review: Mary Kay Limited-Edition Honeydew Satin Hands Pampering Set
The Hand Softener is like putting petroleum jelly on you hands. It melts with the heat of your body and makes your hands quite greasy. You definitely can't use it on its own, and it doesn't wash off with just water.
Review: Mary Kay Limited-Edition Honeydew Satin Hands Pampering Set
The Hand Scrub when mixed with warm water creates a creamy, exfoliating lather that removes dead surface skin while smoothing hands and making them look healthier.
Review: Mary Kay Limited-Edition Honeydew Satin Hands Pampering Set
The Hand Cream is non-greasy and absorbs quickly to leave your skin soft, silky, and moisturized for up to 24 hours.

Softener, Scrub, Cream
Overall, I really enjoyed this set. Working in a hospital requires me to wash and sanitize my hands like crazy and they dry out super quick. This set leaves my hands feeling softer than a babies bottom, and the scent of these products is to die for! The sweet fruitiness lasts all day. The only downside in my mind to this set is the price tag.

Getting Ready for Spring with Flexitol - Review & Giveaway {Closed}

Now that Winter is over, and Spring is slowly making its way across Canada, it's time to get our skin ready for shorts, t-shirts, and sandals. Now, if you're anything like me, as soon as that first Winter breeze blows across Canada you become drier than the Sahara Desert. My elbows, legs, arms, feet, just everywhere gets super dry, flaky, and I even get skin cracks in my driest areas. It's not pretty, and I've got to make sure I am using moisturizing products, starting in the shower, and for use throughout the day.

I was recently sent these products from Farley Co to help and get ready for Spring, and I am in love with them! I wish I had had these for the whole Winter, because they are beyond super moisturizing. I would have saved a lot of money on all of the other sub-par moisturizers I went through trying to find Winter skin relief. Stay tuned to the end of the post where you will have a chance to win your own Winter Skin Rescue Product Pack.

Flexitol Intense Hydrating Lotion

"Flexitol Intense Hydrating Lotion is a everyday family lotion for regular moisturization purposes. It provides protection against irritation, chafing, dryness and a wide variety of skin ailments. It also protects and insulates the skin from the environment and agents such as solvents, detergents and other man made products. Leaves your skin feeling silky soft and smooth."

What I like the most about this lotion is how fast it absorbs into the skin. I can slather it on, and get dressed within minutes because it's completely absorbed. The moisture this lotion provides is also extremely long lasting. I like to apply it right after I get out of the shower, and I don't feel like I need to re-apply until the next day. I like to use this mostly on my legs, because they are not as dry as other areas of my body. The smell of this lotion is a bit medicinal/herbal, but it isn't over powering. As soon as it's applied you can't smell it, so it wont clash with any perfumed products you might apply after.

Flexitol Very Dry Skin Cream

"This medically proven treatment for very dry skin conditions including Anhydrotic skin or Xerosis, itchosis and winter itch. Also provides symptomatic relief of eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis. Visible results can be seen in 3 days."

This moisturizer is great for elbows, feet, hands, etc, all of the super dry areas on your body. Working in a hospital is drying, but add in dry space heater air, and constant hand washing, and I am left with dry, and sometimes cracked hands. A little bit of this moisturizer goes a long way and my hands are given instant relief. The texture of this cream is thick like a butter, but absorbs like a lotion. There is no greasiness or drying time. There is relatively no smell to this cream either, which I really like.

Flexitol Heel Magic

"Flexitol Heel Magic is an innovative new way to hydrate dry cracked heels and feet. This easy to use, no mess stick format contains a unique blend of emollients and moisturizers including Urea, Shea Butter, Lanolin and Olive Oil in a highly concentrated moisturizing base."

This product is my saving grace! I don't know how I lived without this! My feet get so dry, regardless of the season, but in the Winter they get to the point where I have painful cracks in my heels. Normal moisturizers just don't do the trick for my heels. I really like the Cake brand foot lotion, but even that isn't enough. The stick format of this lotion is genius and makes it so easy to apply. I just swipe it on, put on my socks and go about my day, letting the product work its magic. After just one use of this product, my heels were almost back to new. I've been using it consistently over the past few weeks and I'm proud to say that my feet are ready for sandal season.

Baylis & Harding Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit Bath Foam

"Relax and rehydrate in a bath filled with our Sweet Mandarin and Grapefruit restful bath foam. Containing natural orange oil with the benefits of vitamin A, B and C to help restore and nourish the skin."

I love moisturizing body washes. There is just something about how a good body wash makes your skin feel in the shower. I was skeptical at first about this body wash because it doesn't look creamy, more liquidy. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be used as a body wash or a bubble bath, but I'm using it as a body wash, and it is working great. The amount of lather you get with this product is amazing, and it is such a soft lather. I don't feel as if I'm stripping the moisture from my body when I use this, and it leaves my skin feeling very clean. The smell is very light compared to other body washes, but the slight orange scent is very invigorating, and it lingers throughout the day. I would definitely repurchase more from this brand in the future.

EcoTools EcoPouf Mini Bath Net Sponge

"EcoTools EcoPouf Mini Bath Sponges create a rich lather, leaving skin feeling smooth and clean. The EcoPouf Netting is 100% Pre Consumer Recycled material that is friendly to the earth. The Mini 25g size is convenient, and comes with an easy hang rope which allows sponge to dry quickly. Using recyclable packaging, you can enjoy a taste of eco-conscious clean with the EcoTools line of bath accessories."

I love using a bath sponge with my body washes because I feel like they help scrub off the dead, dry skin that can accumulate on your body. This sponge isn't too abrasive, but good enough to help sluff off my dry skin.

Review: Fruits & Passion's Summer Fragrances

Hey Girls! Today I will be reviewing some products from Fruits & Passion, in their new Summer Fragrances. I received these products for free from F&P to try out and review.
Pomelo Granite
"A joyful fragrance that combines the sweet, energizing notes of pomelo with the freshness of mint, for a granita effect. Melon, pear, peach, grapefruit, guava, blackberry and coconut. This fruit extracts cocktail is known for its antioxidant and softening properties."

At first I was worried that I wouldn't like this scent, but I LOVE it! It smells exactly like Spritz Up pop. Which is basically like 7UP or any other lemon-lime soda. It is very fresh and invigorating. I like to use this shower gel in the morning because the citrus really helps me wake up.

The body gel and hand lotion both have a gel consistency and the texture reminds me of Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. It absorbs very quickly into the skin and there isn't any greasy residue. I've been using the Hand Cream at work and it works wonders. I am washing my hands 5-10 times an hour when I'm at work and they are extremely dry. This cream has saved my hands. I would definitely recommend it.
Watermelon-Goji
"A fragrance bursting with fresh, summery watermelon notes accented with a cheerful and invigorating splash of goji berry."

I thought I would really like this scent, but it is just meh. It doesn't overly smell like watermelon, and I don't know what goji smells like, but this just smells very artificial. I definitely prefer the Pomelo Granite scent. This shower gel, like the Pomelo one, lathers well and is very moisturizing. The scent also lingers on the skin which is nice because when you use the lotion after you are layering the scents and you smell awesome all day!

If I had to repurchase one of the two scents I would absolutely pick the Pomelo Granite. And if I had to pick one of these products to repurchase it would be a hard choice between the shower gel and the hand lotion, but the hand lotion would win. Just because of the wonders it has worked for my hands.

If you are interested in purchasing any of these products, or F&P's other products, you can visit your local store or visit their website --> http://www.fruits-passion.ca/.
Keep in mind though that all of Fruits & Passion's products are seasonal and only available for 3-4 months. So run, run, run, to get your hands on these great products before they are gone.
