Guest Post: Jenn from Scarlet Beauty's Bright Nail Polishes For Summer

It's time to dust off all of those bright nail polishes that have been hiding all Winter and bring them out because warmer weather is here! At least it has been on and off. Summer has to be coming soon, right?
China Glaze Orange Knockout, OPI Live Love Carnaval, Julep Caitlin, Essie DJ Play That Song
As much as I love all the vampy polishes that are in for Winter, it's nice to switch things up. I thought I'd round up some of the nail polishes that I'm really looking forward to wearing in the upcoming months.

Up first is China Glaze Orange Knockout. It's a neon orange jelly! Need I say more? Super bright and opaque in 3 coats.
OPI Live Love Carnaval is a gorgeous pinky coral. The formula is amazing, I used 2 coats here. You can never have too much coral in your life, FYI.
I'm so glad I signed up for Julep's monthly nail polish boxes because I've discovered so many new favourites. In fact, I often find myself upgrading to get all the polishes they offer every month because I simply can't choose one of the smaller packages of 2 or 3. Here's Caitlin, a pretty pink with subtle gold shimmer throughout. This is 3 coats.
Vibrant purple polish? Yes please. Here's Essie's DJ Play That Song. Love this on my fingers and I have a feeling it's going to be in regular rotation on my toes as well. The formula of this is a bit fussy and dries matte, but I don't mind a little extra work if I really love the end result, and I definitely do. It took 3 coats to be even and opaque and I added a top coat for shine.

Do you have any favourite polishes for the summer?

  1. So I love all of these, especially Essie DJ Play That Song (because it reminds me of a Backstreet Boys song)
